I’m a big believer in the relaxing power of closet purges.

There’s just something about de-cluttering and getting rid of old pieces that helps calm me down. Moreover, it allows me to make space for new clothes while donating my pre-loved clothes to someone who will love them even more.

However, no matter how many times I clean out my closet, I will never let go of a few classic pieces. These items happen to be my top worn pieces for the summer.

90% of the time, you’ll see me spending the hot months in these essentials because of their wearability, versatility, and ease.

Classic White T-Shirt:

A white top may not be the most daring thing in your closet, but there’s no limit to the number of ways this piece can be worn.

You can dress it up with jewelry and fancy accessories or wear it with simple black pants for a toned-down look.

A white t-shirt with faded jeans may be one of my all-time favorite summer outfits; all you have to do is make sure it stays clean.

Black Swimwear:

When curating your summer wardrobe, you cant leave out swimsuits. A black swimsuit looks trendy and chic and is a timeless addition to your wardrobe. You won’t have to worry about it looking dirty even after hours in the sun.

You can buy a one-piece if you want to invest in a classic piece. The one-piece can double as a top or an undergarment as well if you need it to.

Denim Jacket:

While you won’t be needing this piece to keep you warm, a denim jacket is a classic part of any outfit in the summer. It can take you from morning to evening, depending on how you style it.

With the current denim trend not going anywhere soon, you’ll want to hold onto your denim jacket for a bit longer.

Strappy Sandals:

You don’t want your feet to be screaming with sweat while walking. This is the best time of the year to put away your classic pumps and sneakers and switch to strappy sandals.

Our teenhood favorite footwear is back with a bang and can come in various styles to give you a Grecian goddess look.

Boyfriend Jeans:

With Gen-Z and millennials declaring them unworthy of our love, skinny jeans may be out of style for some time.

But that gives us a chance to bring back another favorite – the boyfriend jeans. This casual denim style is perfect for hot days when you want a loose fit on your legs.

Choose lighter colors of blue to complete the summery vibe.
