I am not sure why our society is so fixated on looking younger ( I am :)), but what I do believe is looking younger helps us feel more youthful. Most people that I come across do not think that I am 51 and that I have four children, and my oldest is almost 26. I cannot believe it myself because I feel at least 20 years younger. I think I have good genetics, my grandmother lived to be 105, she never did any injections or surgeries and she looked terrific until she passed. One of my grandmother’s favorite masks was Milk of Magnesia, which happens to be a great way to dry up oily skin!
I don’t know about you, but I have drawers and cupboards full of lotions, potions, oils, masks, and vitamins. As the world is changing, so is research technology and science. The beauty industry is valued at $532 billion and still moving on an upward swing. Every day new products are rolling out, items with CBD, vitamin C, retinol, alpha hydroxy acids, hyaluronic acids, antioxidants coupled with all the further injections and procedures, it is mind-boggling.
I’m always open to new products and new procedures, but I will always go back to what I preach, and that is keeping it simple. Less is more. In this post, I will share with you some of the new products that I have recently purchased and recommended, which coincidentally all have vitamin C.
Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C
The Lypo-Spheric has been around for a while. When I was starting to feel a cold, someone suggested to take it twice a day, sure enough, the cold went away. One packet contains 1000mg of vitamin C. This product is the top-selling liposomal Vitamin C supplement since 2004.
After researching this product, I found that Lypo-Spheric vitamin C isn’t only good for immunity; it has many other benefits. Vitamin C is required to produce collagen, the protein responsible for firm, youthful skin, as well as healthy joints, gut lining, and muscles. If you’re not getting the minimum amount of Vitamin C, your body won’t have enough for making collagen.
This product statistically shows to also reduce wrinkles in the skin in four weeks.
Citrix by Topix
I was a significant sun-worshipper from the age of 11-21. I burnt the hell out of my skin, and now I am trying to reverse the process, which isn’t easy. Here is another Vitamin C product that I am using called the Citrix Vitamin C Pro-Collagen Brightening Serum. It is a multi-targeted, Vitamin C enriched system of ingredients that help brighten the complexion, support healthy collagen production, and help fight free radicals. Additionally, these ingredients improve the appearance of aging and photo-damaged skin and improve skin resilience.
I use the serum in the morning and at night under my moisturizers.
Dr. Barbara Sturm glow drops
The Glow Drops by Dr. Barbara Sturm is my latest favorite product for my skin. I love a fresh, dewy look on the face, and I have tried so many products to try and get that glow, and this is “the” one. Besides having complexion boosting ingredients, these glow drops also contain anti-wrinkle ingredients, including high levels of vitamin A, C (again!!), E, and Omega -3s in the serum. I only use these drops when I am going for a full makeup look, not every day because these drops are expensive!
M-61 Power Glow Peel
I have written about this product before, and I still love it. It’s the PowerGlow Peel by M-61. It does not have Vitamin C but other high vitamins such as vitamin K, bilberry and chamomile, Its like doing a mini peel at home with glycolic and salicylic acid to exfoliate the skin. When I use this product, I see an immediate reduction in my pores (I have big pores), and my face looks smoother. When applying this product, I recommend cutting the square in half for each use because you don’t need to use the entire wipe.
With so many products on the market, it gets very confusing on what to try. I recommend trying samples. Most beauty stores are pretty generous about giving them out because they want sales.
