I miss traveling out of the country, especially immersing, in a different culture. Travel right now is difficult because of the pandemic. The quick trip to L.A. is a sort of fix for me culturally. More diversity of people, good food, and great hikes.
Many times I check the Conde Nast Traveler website to see what the latest greatest hot spots are. I like to look for unique, interesting boutique hotels. A couple of weekends ago, my husband and I needed a weekend away together alone. We didn’t want to stay in a big, popular named hotel because of Covid-19. For me finding a small hotel (better during this pandemic to go smaller), romantic, and pretty is preferable.
I discovered an amazing, wonderful, fun hotel called Petite Ermitage, located in West Hollywood, right off Santa Monica Blvd. The hotel has a cool bohemian, eclectic vibe with quirky, fun touches. The owner has a collection of artifacts and paintings that are so interesting and fun. The hotel is Covid-19 compliant and takes all the precautions to make you feel comfortable and clean.
Fun reasons to stay at Petit Ermitage
- Heated saltwater rooftop pool
- Butterfly and hummingbird garden that includes guest-only dining
- Every room is suite-style with a fireplace and kitchenette.
- The hotel offers a schedule of activities every day.
- The selection of waters from around the world on the room service menu
- Le Labo products in the hotel bathroom
- Brand new bikini offered in the hotel room.
- Clown room service
We spent three nights and three days in L.A. We ate great food, one night at Capo in Santa Monica, and another dinner at Petite Taqueria in West Hollywood. We had an awesome hike at Runyon Canyon Park and also rested and relaxed (took naps) in our room. It was a wonderful weekend; I highly recommend it! Here are some details about our weekend.
